What Will I Experience?
There is no need to know the service before you arrive.
Our services are rooted in the ancient worship of the Orthodox Christian Church. You will see icons, candles, incense, processions, chanting, and periods when the congregation stands in prayer.
Visitors are welcome to observe, pray, and participate as they feel comfortable. Service books and other materials are available to help you follow along.
If you are unfamiliar with Orthodox worship or have questions during your visit, please feel free to speak with one of our clergy or parishioners.
A Note for Visitors
Orthodox worship is highly participatory. Parishioners may make the sign of the Cross, venerate icons, light candles, bow, and move throughout the church at various points in the service. Visitors should never feel obligated to imitate these practices.
Holy Communion is reserved for Orthodox Christians who are properly prepared to receive. Everyone is welcome to remain for the service and to join us for fellowship afterward.

Directions & Parking
Arriving at Annunciation
The Church of the Annunciation is located on Oaklawn Avenue in Cranston. Please allow a few extra minutes before services to park and enter the church.

Driving Directions
From the North: Take I-95 South to Exit 16 for Reservoir Avenue / Route 10. Continue on Route 10 and take the Reservoir Avenue exit. Turn right onto Reservoir Avenue, then right onto Park Avenue. Continue to Cranston Street and turn left. At the rotary, continue onto Oaklawn Avenue / Route 5. The Church will be approximately 1/4 mile ahead on the right.
From the South: Take I-95 North and then Route 295. Take Exit 3-B for Phenix Avenue / Route 37. Turn left onto Natick Avenue, then left onto Wilbur Avenue. At the first traffic light, turn left onto Oaklawn Avenue / Route 5. The Church is approximately 1½ miles ahead on the left.
